Big Shooters 4-H launches 2024 season at Marshfield

FLORENCE, Wis. — Florence County 4-H Big Shooters attended the first shoot of the year for Wisconsin, taking numerous awards at Marshfield. Seventy-three of Wisconsin’s top shooters attended. Seven local shooters from Dickinson and Florence counties participated in various age categories and disciplines. The team’s youngest shooter was Jonas Eloranta of Florence County. Courage Incorporated to hold UP fundraiser April 13

ISHPEMING — Courage Incorporated is holding a community fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. Eastern time Saturday, April 13, at River Rock Lanes and Banquet Center in Ishpeming. The event is open to the public and tickets are $10 per person at the door — or free for ages 6 and under. Registration required for WI fishing tourneys

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources announced that fishing tournaments that are statewide or regional in nature, seasonal without specific fishing dates or that have fewer than 20 boats or 100 participants will be required to register with the DNR starting this year. Registration of these tournaments will be free of charge. The DNR regulates fishing tournaments or organized competitive fishing events where money or prizes are awarded to protect fish populations from overharvest and to avoid crowding or conflicts among waterbody users.
