DNR shares forest plans; sturgeon season next month on Menominee

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Michigan Department of Natural Resources will hold a forest management open house Tuesday, Sept. 5, in Crystal Falls. The open houses are informal sessions that give the public a chance to speak with foresters, wildlife biologists and other resource professionals. Currently, all open houses are hosted as comment periods with opportunities to contact unit managers, the DNR said. IRON MOUNTAIN — The 46th Annual Lake Antoine Classic will be held on Saturday at Lake Antoine Park. Events include a 15K trail run or bike around Fumee Lake, 5-mile run or walk around Lake Antoine, and a 2-mile run or walk along Lake Antoine. All events start and end at the park.
