Rehearsals to begin for DCCC Christmas concert

KINGSFORD — The Dickinson County Community Chorus will begin rehearsals at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, in preparation for the upcoming Sounds of Christmas concert. Rehearsals run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the fellowship hall of the First Presbyterian Church, 395 Hamilton Ave. in Kingsford. The children’s chorus will begin rehearsals at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, and will continue on the same nights as the adult choir. Post 145 to host breakfast Aug. 30

NORWAY — The American Legion Post 145 of Norway will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, at the hall. Menu includes scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, French toast, hashbrown potatoes, toast, fruit salad, coffee, milk and juice. Cost is $10 per person, with children age 6 and younger eating for free. ‘Come to Supper’ meal on Monday

FLORENCE, Wis. — The First Presbyterian Church of Florence will host its monthly “Come to Supper” meal on Monday. This free hot meal, with a beverage and dessert, will be served from 5 to 5:45 p.m. in the fellowship hall in the lower level of the church. The church is accessible to all.
