IRON MOUNTAIN — An organ concert of Advent and Christmas music will be presented at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain. The concert will feature guest artist Val Bartlein, playing the new Rodgers Inspire digital organ that was recently installed at the church. Breakfast and bake sale slated

IRON MOUNTAIN — Immaculate Conception Parish will host its ninth Community Fellowship Breakfast and Christmas Bake Sale from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday in the Msgr. James A. Kaczmarek Parish Hall. All proceeds from the breakfast and bake sale will be donated to the Iron Mountain St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. The breakfast menu includes bacon, sausage, eggs, hashbrown potatoes, muffins and beverages. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children age 7 to 12, and free for younger children. Quinnesec church hosts Christmas Party on Saturday

QUINNESEC — The Quinnesec United Methodist Church will host an area Christmas Party from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday. A Christmas movie classic will be shown upstairs, while board games and perhaps a few group games are enjoyed downstairs. After the movie they will “gather around the piano” and sing Christmas carols and listen to the reading of the Christmas story. Weather permitting, they will possibly have a campfire or bonfire. Snacks will be provided.

Tickets available soon for Sounds of Christmas concert

KINGSFORD — Tickets will soon be available for the annual “Sounds of Christmas” concert presented by the Dickinson County Community Chorus. The concert is planned for 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 28-29, in the Kingsford High School auditorium. Principal Conductor Crystal Hogan has selected some beautiful pieces of choral music for the season — some familiar and some new.
