Hunters’ Bake Sale and raffle later this week

VULCAN — St. Barbara's Women’s League of Vulcan will host its annual Hunters' Bake Sale and Fall Basket Raffle extravaganza Thursday through Saturday in the parish hall. The sale will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day and again after the 6 p.m. Mass on Saturday. It will feature a wide variety of homemade pies, cookies, sweet breads, coffee cakes, as well as other treats. Home-canned items will be available. Stamp Club to meet Nov. 18

IRON MOUNTAIN — The monthly meeting of the Northwoods Philatelic Society stamp club is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, in the Fellowship Room of First Lutheran Church, 1210 S. Stephenson Ave. in Iron Mountain. The church is located between Domino’s Pizza and Slumberland Furniture. A short business meeting and educational program will be followed by the usual informal stamp club auction. Post 50 to host fish fry on Friday

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Uren-Cooper-Johnson American Legion Post 50 of Iron Mountain will host a fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at the hall. Customers will have a choice of a three-piece cod, eight breaded shrimp, or five-piece Alaskan walleye (pollock). The meals will also include fries or homemade chips, baked beans and cole slaw.
