Zonta scholarship deadline Friday

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Zonta Club of Iron Mountain-Kingsford is again offering the Nora Flemington Adult Educational Scholarship in the amount of $1,500. The scholarship will be awarded to assist adult women who wish to pursue further education in preparation for re-entering the job market, or to women who have completed their undergraduate degree and wish to pursue graduate or professional studies. FLORENCE, Wis. — The Northwoods Geology Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, in the lower level of the Florence Natural Resource Center — follow the Wisconsin Division of Motor Vehicles signs to the parking lot. Northwoods stamp club to meet Tuesday

IRON MOUNTAIN — The monthly meeting of the Northwoods Philatelic Society stamp club is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Fellowship Room of First Lutheran Church, 1210 S. Stephenson Ave. in Iron Mountain. The church is between Domino’s Pizza and Slumberland Furniture. A short business meeting and educational program will be followed by the usual informal stamp club auction.
