Community meal June 22

NORWAY — Grace Methodist Church of Norway will offer a free community meal from 5 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, June 22. The menu will be ham, macaroni salad roll and fruit. There is no cost for the dinner. The free meals will be available for take out at the church parking lot. Reservation are required — call Chris Spence at 906-282-9752 by 4 p.m. Friday, June 20, so enough food can be prepared for all. Future meals are July 27, Aug. 24 and Sept. 28. FLORENCE, Wis. — The Northwoods Geology Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, in the lower level of the Florence Natural Resource Center — follow the Division of Motor Vehicles signs to the parking lot. Northwoods stamp club to meet June 17

IRON MOUNTAIN — The monthly meeting of the Northwoods Philatelic Society stamp club is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, in the Fellowship Room of First Lutheran Church, 1210 S. Stephenson Ave. in Iron Mountain. The church is between Domino’s Pizza and Slumberland Furniture. A short business meeting and educational program will be followed by the usual informal stamp club auction. Robotic team at genealogical society meeting

IRON RIVER — The Iron County Genealogical Society will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday in the J. Patrick White Conference Room at the West Iron District Library. The group will host The Automatons, who will share their journey in robotics. The Automatons are a FIRST — For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology — Robotics team based in Iron River. Founded in 2019, the team is open to high school students who are homeschooled or attend public schools in Iron County. Visitors are welcome.
