EAGLE RIVER, Wis. — The Enchanted Doll Club of the Northwoods will host its first meeting of the new year at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, in the meeting room of the Kalmar Senior Center, 1011 N. Railroad St. in Eagle River. The theme of the meeting will be a discussion and sharing of dolls representing winter by their attire, their accessories or their color. IRON MOUNTAIN — The Uren-Cooper-Johnson American Legion Post 50 will host a fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at the hall. The dinners will include a choice of three-piece cod or eight fried shrimp, along with fries, baked beans and cole slaw. Cost is $14 per plate. Dine-in or take out is available. IRON MOUNTAIN — The AT& T and Michigan Bell retirees will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. on Monday at the Holiday Kitchen.
The Goodman Armstrong Creek Lions Club hosted its annual Senior Christmas Dinner on Dec. 15 at the community center in Goodman, Wis. Many seniors came in and Santa delivered meals to those who could not. Included in the delivered meals were cookies donated by Debbie and Tim Thompson. The cookies were baked and beautifully hand-decorated by Barbie Maruszczak. The GAC Lions continue to honor the Lions Club motto: “We Serve.”
