Norway churches host free meal on Sunday

NORWAY — Grace Methodist Church, Norway, will offer a free community meal from 5 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday. The menu will be spaghetti and meatballs, salad, garlic bread and dessert. There is no cost for the dinner. The free meals will be available for takeout in the church parking lot. Reservation are required. Senior tea in Iron Mountain

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Iron Mountain-Kingsford General Federation of Women’s Clubs will host its 90th Senior Girls Tea at noon Wednesday at Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain. Guests speaker will be Renee Yake, a teacher at Iron Mountain High School. Sandy Sullivan will provide music throughout the program. The chair of this year’s tea is Angie DuBose. Northwoods Geology Club to meet Wednesday

FLORENCE, Wis. — The Northwoods Geology Club will begin its 2024 season of meetings at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the lower level of the Florence Natural Resource Center. Those attending should follow the DMV signs to the back parking lot. All are encouraged to bring a favorite rock to show at the meeting. Anyone with rocks, minerals or other items to give away or trade should bring them as well. Post 145 plans breakfast on Sunday

NORWAY — The American Legion Post 145 of Norway will serve an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the hall. Menu includes scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, French toast, hashbrown potatoes, toast, fruit salad, coffee, milk and juice. Cost is $10 per person, with children age 6 and younger eating for free.
