The Major 10th Music Studio had its second-annual recital June 1 at the Midtown Mall in Iron Mountain. The studio is owned and operated by Niebrzydowski, who has been teaching music for almost two decades. Sophia Wysocki earned a first in classical guitar at the Wisconsin School Music Association’s State Solo and Ensemble Festival competition May 5 in Green Bay, Wis. The daughter of Steve and Amy Wysocki of Armstrong Creek, Wis., was a sophomore at Goodman-Armstrong Creek High School. She has studied classical guitar with Thomas Niebrzydowski for eight years and competed in solo and ensemble for the past four years.
