The Kingsford High School Music Department has received a Story & Clark institutional console piano donated in memory of John R. Calo. Calo, KHS music director from 1955 to 1990, died in February, at which time a memorial was established in his name. The Calo family would like to thank KHS Band Director Ben Sherk for his assistance and those who donated to the memorial. At top is Sherk with the piano, while in the lower photo are John’s daughters, Cecilia Smith, left, and Celeste Malone holding a photo of their father.
