IRON MOUNTAIN — Dickinson County Community Theatre and The Braumart will host the Children’s Drama Camp at the Braumart, 106 E. B St. in Iron Mountain. The camp will be 8 a.m. to noon from Monday, Aug. 10, through Friday, Aug. 14, at the Braumart. Campers will be in age-appropriate groups and rotate through activities such as show rehearsal, stagecraft and theater games.

At 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, camp participants will present “Tidy That Room” at the Braumart. “Tidy That Room” is a fantasy where the mess under your bed comes to life. Michele Kellrooney and Rodney Kjell are heading up the Children’s Drama Camp. Kjell, board president of both Dickinson County Community Theater and the Braumart, most recently made his directorial debut with DCCT’s “Three Twisted Tales,”and will head up sets, costumes and acting skills. Some special guests might even come in to lead sessions on lighting, character development and pursuing acting as a career.

Registration/applications will be accepted until July 24. A minimum of 10 enrollees are needed to have the camp. Applicants should contact DCCT President Rodney Kjell at president_DCCT@gmail.com for registration material. Tuition for the camp is $30.
