Members of the P.E.O. Chapter AN, one of three Philanthropic Educational Organization chapters in Iron Mountain, traditionally volunteer their time to ring bells for the Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign during the Christmas season, but due to the pandemic it was decided to keep safe and stay home. To try to make up for this loss, members made individual contributions to the Salvation Army. The 29 members surprised even themselves by contributing more than $800. PEO member Nancy Pellegrini was especially pleased, since she also is on the Salvation Army Board. P.E.O. focuses on women’s education, but always has a strong commitment to serving the community as well.
