MENOMINEE — The Salvation Army will host a Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry at 10 am. Wednesday, sponsored by CoVantage Credit Union.

A Mobile Food Pantry contains 15,000 pounds of food sent on a truck in order to provide food for 300 families in need, on a first come first serve basis.

The Mobile Pantry will be in Menominee at the old Kmart parking and M&M plaza, 1307 8th Ave, Menominee. It will continue as a drive-through process.

“We have been so pleased with the support of the community for the Feeding America Mobile Pantry, both in volunteers and sponsors. We are fully funded for 2021 and are currently looking for sponsors for next year 2022,” Captain Rhegan Stansbury said. “We want to be able to continue to bring the truck in as a valuable resource for the community. In May the Mobile Pantry served 811 individuals.”
