First Methodist plans rummage sale fundraiser

The women of the First United Methodist Church in Iron Mountain are planning a two-day rummage sale Thursday and Friday. Joyce Clement, left, and Debbie Poulson display rummage sale items at the church. Two years of rummage items will be available for the public to purchase.

IRON MOUNTAIN — The women of the First United Methodist Church in Iron Mountain will host their annual rummage sale Thursday and Friday.

The sale will take place at the church at 106 Fourth St. in Iron Mountain, across from Hardee’s restaurant. Hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. The group will also have bake items for sale.

The pandemic prevented them from holding any of their traditional activities in 2020, including the rummage sale. As a result, their funds, which have gone in the past for church improvements, have dwindled significantly, so this year they have decided to have a two-day event with the two-year accumulation of items for their rummage sale.

Proceeds will be used to help with needs of the church and the local community.

All are invited to attend.

Starting at $4.00/week.
