Penny War funds
The Health Occupations and Medical Terminology classes — part of Future Health Professionals, formerly known as Health Occupations Students of America, or HOSA — at the Dickinson-Iron Intermediate Technical Center in Kingsford hosted a Penny War that raised $1,111.21 for the Gift of Life Michigan. The Gift of Life is an organization dedicated to organ and tissue donations. From Nov. 8 through 12, students from all eight programs at the tech center donated money toward The Gift of Life. This fundraiser was a huge success and raised a lot of money for a great cause.
