Salvation Army donation
Erickson Jewelers, downtown Iron Mountain, collected non-perishable food items for the local Salvation Army in November and December. Those who donated were given a chance to win a 1/2 carat oval-shaped, Antwerp diamond at the Girl’s Night Out. Thanksgiving weekend through Dec. 18, anyone who donated was entered to win a pair of 1/2 carat total weight diamond stud earrings. A large amount of food was collected for the local community. In addition to the donated food, Randy and Sherri Erickson also presented a check to the Salvation Army for $1,000. “Our community has really supported us during the challenges of the last couple of years and this is one way we can give back,” said owner Sherri Erickson. Office hours at the Dickinson County Salvation Army food pantry are 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon Friday.
