Archaeology lesson

Elementary students, with Brian Diel, Taff and Superintendent Nathaniel Burklund in back. The classes were in Badger Park near the school.
Karen Klenke photos Seth Taff recently had an archaeology workshop at the Niagara Elementary School for third through fifth grades. Students explored a simulated dig and obtained specimens to examine. Taff worked with the students to explain what they had found. He is a professional archaeologist in Baraboo, Wis., and has worked throughout the United States for the past 14 year, including the Great Plains and Gulf South, but particularly in the Upper Midwest region in Wisconsin. His research interests are mainly pre-history Wisconsin. He enjoys facilitating public education workshops for all ages to learn more about archaeology and the human past. Taff helps Nixon Brown and Jaxson Gendron measure something they found.

Starting at $3.50/week.
