Author Andrew Graff to be at Niagara library Tuesday

NIAGARA, Wis. — The Friends of the Niagara Public Library will sponsor Niagara native and best-selling author Andrew Graff for a discussion of his debut novel, “Raft of Stars,” on Tuesday.

In the novel, the lives of two 10-year-old boys are changed forever one summer night in Wisconsin. Tired of seeing his best friend Dale Breadwin (Bread) abused by his alcoholic father, Fischer Branson (Fish), takes action. A gunshot rings out, and Bread and Fish flee into the woods. They build a raft, but the river quickly leads them into an even greater danger than the law would bring.

Graff grew up fishing, hiking, and hunting in Wisconsin’s Northwoods. After a tour of duty in Afghanistan, he earned a masters of fine arts from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. He now lives in Ohio and teaches at Wittenberg University.

The program will begin at 6 p.m. at the library, 1029 Roosevelt Road, Niagara. Light refreshments will be served. This event is free of charge and open to the public of all ages.

Starting at $3.50/week.
