GFWC set meeting at Chippewa Club May 1
IRON MOUNTAIN — The Iron Mountain-Kingsford General Federation of Women’s Clubs will meet at noon Friday, May 1, at the Chippewa Club in Iron Mountain. The program will feature a food demonstration and tasting prepared by the Chippewa Club’s Executive Chef Simon Poulin. The luncheon will be a “Gourmet Bowl” for $35. NAPS plans treasure hunt today and Sunday
NORWAY — The Norway Area Preservation Society will sponsor a treasure hunt for children up to age 10 today and Sunday to celebrate Earth Day. To encourage children to get outdoors, one green plastic egg will be hidden in four different parks in the Norway-Vulcan area both days. The children who find a green egg can redeem it at the Swedish Passport Shop in Norway for a bucket of “treasure.” The NAPS asks that each child only takes one winning egg.
