Bay College Greenhouse to have plant sale May 8

ESCANABA — The Bay College Greenhouse will sell native plant seedlings and vegetables from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time Friday. This one-day event will take place at the greenhouse and Room 116 biology lab in the Math Science Building on the Escanaba campus. The 26th-annual sale will include a section of native wildflowers, perennials, tomatoes, peppers and herbs. Invasive Trade-Up Days planned in May

FLORENCE, Wis. — The Wild Rivers Invasive Species Coalition, along with its partners, will host the sixth-annual Invasive Trade-Up Days in May. Landowners can drop off invasive shrubs (with roots) from their property in exchange for a $10 voucher, up to $100, to be used toward a native shrub or perennial from a local participating nursery, plant sale or greenhouse. ‘Let's Talk Gardening!’ series set in Marinette

MARINETTE, Wis. — Northern Lights Master Gardeners and the Marinette Senior Center will continue a summer-long series of gardening classes, “Let’s Talk Gardening!” on Wednesday.
