GFWC to host Senior Girls Tea on Thursday

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Iron Mountain-Kingsford General Federation of Women’s Clubs will host its 92nd-annual Senior Girls Tea at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pine Grove County Club in Iron Mountain. The club has invited 25 guests from Iron Mountain High School and 60 from Kingsford High School. Renee Strom will be the guest speaker. Emily Yonke and Melanie Sardina will serve coffee and tea. The event serves as a way to honor the female graduates of 2026.

IC Genealogical Society to meet Thursday

IRON RIVER — The Iron County Genealogical Society will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday in the J. Patrick White conference room at West Iron District Library in Iron River. KINGSFORD — Feeding America West Michigan will bring a mobile food pantry Wednesday, May 13, to Redemption Hill Church, 332 S. Carpenter Ave. in Kingsford. Free food will be available to all households experiencing food insecurity. The drive-thru food distribution begins promptly at 11 a.m., with registration at 10 a.m. at customer vehicles.
