IRON MOUNTAIN — The Iron Mountain area Finnish-American Raja Ryhma will host its annual Juhannus picnic Saturday at City Park in Iron Mountain. This traditional celebration usually takes place in Finland on the longest day of the year in June, after enduring the long, dark winter that has few daylight hours between mid-December and mid-January. Some people enjoy time together on Midsummer’s Eve to have a bonfire or kokko, as it is called in the Finnish language. Doll club to meet today in Eagle River

EAGLE RIVER, Wis. — The Enchanted Doll Club of the Northwoods will meet at 1 p.m. today in the meeting room of the Kalmar Community Center, 1011 N. Railroad St. in Eagle River. This month’s program will be a sharing of ethnic dolls. They expect to see dolls representing countries and cultures from all over the world, made of a variety of materials and in all sizes. Two local groups take downtown IM stage on Saturday for new festival

IRON MOUNTAIN — The community is invited to a full day of music on Saturday at the First National Bank & Trust Downtown Stage in Iron Mountain. Finding Feathers of the local area will perform a variety of a blend of folk and traditional country with rock and roll flair tunes from noon to 3 p.m. From 3:30 to 5 p.m., the crowd is invited to line dancing lessons with an instructor.
