GFWC set meeting at Chippewa Club May 1

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Iron Mountain-Kingsford General Federation of Women’s Clubs will meet at noon Friday, May 1, at the Chippewa Club in Iron Mountain. The program will feature a food demonstration and tasting prepared by the Chippewa Club’s Executive Chef Simon Poulin. The luncheon will be a “Gourmet Bowl” for $35. Registration opens for youth football

Player registration is now open for the Central UP Youth Football League. Fifth through eighth graders for the 2026-2027 school year may register. Any child can play in any of the following areas: Bark River, Escanaba (fifth and sixth only), Forest Park (fifth and sixth only), Iron Mountain, Kingsford, North Central, and West Iron County (fifth and sixth only). DCCC seeks singers for summer concert

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson County Community Chorus will begin rehearsals on Tuesday, May 5, for the “Music Under the Stars” concert celebrating the 250th birthday of the United States. The theme this year is “America, the Beautiful.” The Dickinson County Community Chorus is looking for adults and children to participate in the chorus. They encourage singers to pre-register, but walk-ins at the first rehearsal are welcome.
