Doll club to meet Thursday in Eagle River

EAGLE RIVER, Wis. — The Enchanted Doll Club of the Northwoods will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday in the meeting room of the Kalmar Community Center at 1101 N. Railroad St. in Eagle River. Judith Wainwright of Eagle River will present a program on doll artist Heidi Ott and her dolls. Ott was a Swiss doll maker who gained international fame for her dolls in the 1980s. Carlson to present program on area dairies on Friday

IRON MOUNTAIN — Phyllis Carlson will present two programs on area dairies on Friday, April 17, at the Jake Menghini Historical Museum in Norway. The programs will start 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., drawing from her book “Dairies that Delivered Milk to Residents of Dickinson County.” After the program, Carlson to offer advice on pieces.
