Bay College West to host Lean Office training

IRON MOUNTAIN — Bay College West, in collaboration with Northern Initiatives, will have a two-day Lean Office training from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, March 16-17, at the campus at 2801 U.S. 2 in Iron Mountain.

In this course, participants can learn how to easily identify wastes in their offices, processes and operations. They also will hear how to understand where value is added in the work they do to support the operations of the organization and how to maximize the value to their internal and external customers.

Additionally, participants will learn common, proven techniques to lean out their processes and make the workplace more efficient, productive and performing at a higher quality level.

No degree or previous training is required. Participants do not need to have engineering or advanced math skills, only a desire to identify waste and enact change. Participants should be willing to lead small teams on quick, continuous rapid improvements using the tools taught in the training.

The course is $693 per person.
