The Iron Mountain Road and Trail Half-Marathon & Steve Mariucci’s Mooch-athon made its 7th annual donation to the Dickinson County Cancer Loan Closet. The 2018 event raised $15,000 for the Cancer Loan Closet, bringing the seven-year total to $86,500. Half of the amount raised went to the DCCLC Endowment Fund, established through the Dickinson Area Community Foundation while the other half went directly to the Loan Closet for operating expenses. In addition, two $1,000 college scholarships will again be awarded to high school students graduating in 2019.This year’s Road and Trail will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28.
