LaCost issues activity report for February
IRON MOUNTAIN — Dickinson County District Judge Julie A. LaCost has issued her activity report for the month of February.
New criminal cases for the month included eight felonies, 17 misdemeanors, five OWI/OUID misdemeanors and one felony drunk driving.
New civil cases for the month included 49 general civil cases, 17 small claims cases and three landlord/tenant disputes.
New traffic cases included one felony, 120 civil infractions, 23 misdemeanors and 14 non-traffic civil infractions.
Criminal dispositions for the month included four guilty pleas to felonies reduced to misdemeanors and three dismissed, 33 misdemeanors and 11 OWI/OUID misdemeanors.
Civil Dispositions included 49 general civil, 17 small claims and two landlord/tenant.
Traffic dispositions included 104 civil infractions and 24 misdemeanors. There were six non-traffic civil infractions
The District Court handled four court trials, 10 probation violation hearings, 12 drug-sobriety court referrals, one defendant was referred to the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, two defendants were referred to the sheriff’s work van and eight defendants were referred to alcohol counseling. There were three show cause hearings and four marriage ceremonies.
Funds turned over to the county treasurer totaled $46,296.24. Funds turned over to the court trust totaled $4,213.64.
