KINGSFORD — There were no injuries this morning after a garage fire on the 400 block of Fulton Street in Kingsford.

Officers were called at about 6 a.m. when one wall of a detached garage ignited, according to a release from Kingsford Public Safety.

KPS extinguished the fire, which is believed to have been caused by a wood stove, before it spread to surrounding structures, the release stated. No damage was done to the contents of the garage.

Officers returned to the station at about 6:30 a.m.

KPS were assisted by the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post.
