Pembine High School names top students for Class of 2020

CLOEY SCHIEFELBEIN
MOLLY WISNIEWSKI

PEMBINE, Wis. — Pembine High School has announced the two top seniors from the Class of 2020.

While the Class of 2020 has faced major changes as they finish their high school years — a new date for graduation ceremonies has yet to be determined — officials in the Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine School District would like to focus on the accomplishments students already have attained.

These two seniors will represent the class as valedictorian and salutatorian:

— Cloey Schiefelbein, daughter of Andrew and Heather Schiefelbein of Pembine, is valedictorian of the Class of 2020. Schiefelbein has been involved in many extracurricular activities throughout high school, including student council, Community Service Club, Title One and Voices, Drama Club, Hi-Q, choir, basketball and the school newspaper. She is active in the community as well, having volunteered to help with the PAC Youth Center, with Bingo Night at the Pembine High School and with the Community Service Club. Throughout her high school career, she maintained a high grade-point average and ranking on honor roll each quarter and has earned numerous athletic and academic awards. Schiefelbein plans to earn a degree in social work at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

— Molly Wisniewski, daughter of Chris Kane and Val Wisniewski of Pembine, is salutatorian for the Class of 2020. She is treasurer for her senior class and has been involved in student council, Hi-Q, the school newsletter, band, choir, drama and was manager of the girls’ basketball team. She received many academic awards in high school, including a geometry and a trigonometry award for outstanding performance in the class. Wisniewski has been accepted to attend Northern Michigan University and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College but plans to take a gap year to fully decide her major and to save money for college in fall 2021.

Starting at $4.00/week.
