Three apparently wasn’t a crowd for this trio of adult common loons hanging out together at Six Mile Lake in northern Dickinson County. While loons normally are solitary or in breeding pairs, this is late enough in the nesting season that the territorial urges might be relaxing, especially for non-breeding adults.
