The business announced Monday on its Facebook page it would be closed until Aug. 18 after learning an employee had tested positive for the virus. That person last worked at the tavern from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, according to the business.

“We will be doing a thorough cleaning and taking this time to assure our other employees are not symptomatic and that they stay healthy,” the Facebook post said.

“If you think you were exposed at the establishment during this time, stay home and isolate and call your health care provider for further direction. Florence County establishments have been contacted by the health department and continue to follow safety guidelines.”
