David Bal, left, Norway fire chief, and Tony Guiliani, assistant fire chief, accept a $3,800 donation from Susie Cattelan for the Norway Area Volunteer Safety Association. Cattelan is a volunteer member of the local Red Cross, which assists victims of fire and is also involved with the 5th grade Pillowcase Project that prepares children what to do in case of a fire and/or emergency. The Norway Area Volunteer Safety Association, a 509(a)(2) charity, supplements the local fire department by providing training and protective equipment to its members. Cattelan has several family members who volunteer on the squad.
