Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine HS taps top students

PEMBINE, Wis. — Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine High School has announced the two top seniors from the Class of 2021.
They are:
— Valedictorian Kalen Berger is the daughter of Ryan and Heather Berger of Dunbar, Wis. Berger has been involved in many extracurricular activities throughout high school. She is the student council president, Healthy Youth Coalition president, and class vice president. In addition, Berger has played travel softball with the Wisconsin Heat fastpitch organization for the past three years. She is also involved in National Honor Society, Drama Club, forensics, Hi-Q, cross country and softball. She is a member of the Marinette County Teen Court panel as well. Throughout her high school career, Berger has maintained high honor roll status each quarter and earned many athletic awards. After graduation, she plans to pursue a political science degree at Ripon College toward attending law school.
— Salutatorian Kaitlin Hirte is the daughter of Clinton Hirte of Beecher, Wis., and Theresa Hirte of Niagara, Wis. Hirte has been involved in the high school band, drama and yearbook. In high school, she has earned honors such as a French Award and Drama Club MVP Award. She also has earned high honor roll for each quarter. Hirte has been accepted to St. Norbert’s College in De Pere, Wis. She plans to pick a major while attending college in the fall.
Twelve seniors were to receive their diplomas in graduation ceremonies Friday in the high school gymnasium in Pembine.
