KINGSFORD — No injuries were reported after a fire early Sunday gutted a Kingsford home.

The Kingsford Public Safety Department got the call about 3:44 a.m. Sunday of a porch on fire at 421 Wright St. The structure already was engulfed in flames when crews arrived, authorities said, but all occupants had managed to escape the home safely, according to a news release from the department.

Officers cleared from the property at 6:13 a.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The KPSD was assisted by the Iron Mountain Fire Department, Iron Mountain Police, Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, Integrity Care, We Energies and DTE.
