Saturday in the Park begins tonight

Next Myle will be at Saturday in the Park this weekend. The local variety group will headline Saturday’s music, taking stage from 8 to 11 p.m. Next Myle band members are, from left, Travis Ramlow, Kevin Fraker, Cal Coopman, Glenn Edlund and Marc James.

IRON MOUNTAIN — Music in the Park is set for tonight and Saturday at City Park in Iron Mountain.

Music line-up for this evening is Dee Dee Jayne from 5 to 7:30 and the local classic rock band OZ from 8 to 11 p.m.

On Saturday, Gerry Pirkola will play a variety of acoustic selections from 3 to 5 p.m. Ian Alexy and the Deserters from Minnesota, featuring local musician Michael Cini will entertain from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The popular variety group Next Myle will close out the night from 8 to 11 p.m.

Festival gates will open beginning at 3 p.m. Bracelet fees are $12 at the gate and $5 for ages 62 and older.

Proceeds from the event benefit City Park improvements.

Last year’s festivities were canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic, so organizers are hoping for a great turnout.

There will be food and beverage concessions available. They will also have children’s activities for $10 for an unlimited wristband to the bounce houses Saturday.

Organizers will conduct 50-50 drawings throughout the two-day event.

Major sponsors are Systems Control, M.J. Electric, Bellin Health of Iron Mountain, LiUNA Local 1329 and Boss Snowplow.
