Area schools in UP to start classes next week

Most area Upper Peninsula school districts will begin 2021-22 classes Wednesday, with a few exceptions.

For now, none of the districts have announced they will require face masks or other precautions put in place at the start of the 2020-21 school year, after a first summer of COVID-19.

But families with students should continue to monitor their school district’s websites, as the emergence of the delta virus has COVID-19 activity on the rise in the region.
