CASPIAN — A 16-year-old girl was injured in a hit-and-run collision on July 28 near the City of Caspian in Iron County.
Troopers were called “in the early morning hours” to M-189 near County Road 424 after the pedestrian was hit by a driver in a pickup truck, according to a news release from the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post.
The teenager was transported by ambulance to Aspirus Hospital in Iron River and later transferred to St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis., with serious non life-threatening injuries. She has since been discharged, the release stated.
Troopers were able to identify a suspect and vehicle during a preliminary investigation, though the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should call the Iron Mountain post at 906-774-2122.
