The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Central time Sunday for Dickinson and Iron counties.

The NWS office in Marquette predicts 6 to 8 inches of snow could fall during that time.

The NWS in Green Bay, Wis., also issued a winter storm warning from 3 a.m. Central time Sunday to noon Monday for Florence County, along with Forest, Vilas and Iron counties in Wisconsin. Between 5 to 8 inches of snow and a light glaze of ice could occur, according to the NWS.

Warnings in the Upper Peninsula also extend to Marquette, Delta, Ontonagon, Gogebic, Baraga, Houghton and Keweenaw counties.

In the eastern U.P., the warning is from 7 a.m. Sunday to 1 a.m. Eastern time Monday for Delta, Luce, Alger, Schoolcraft, Chippewa and Mackinac counties.
