HERMANSVILLE — Due to the increasing chance of COVID-19 virus transmission, the U.P. Trappers’ annual youth workshop scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 5, has been canceled.

“It is with great disappointment that we have decided to cancel this event,” said Roy Dahlgren, president of U.P. Trappers District 3. “We know that a lot of youngsters are going to be disappointed, but under these circumstances, we are not going to hold an event which may cause serious health issues.”

For those who were planning to attend, Dahlgren suggests going to www.uptrappers.com.

“There is a lot of information there along with the names and numbers of trappers who will gladly answer any questions, give advice, or put you in touch with someone who will help you out,” he said. “Hopefully our workshop will return bigger and better than ever in February 2023,” he added.

The workshop usually takes place each year on the first Saturday in February.
