FP names top seniors for Class of 2022

LOGAN ANDERSON
CRYSTAL FALLS — Forest Park High School has announced the top 10 seniors in the Class of 2022.
Graduation ceremonies are set for 1 p.m. Sunday in the Eddie Chambers Gymnasium.
The students are:
— Logan Anderson has attended Forest Park throughout his entire education. He played basketball from the fourth grade until his sophomore year. While in high school, he has worked outside of school as much as he could. “It never bothered me where I worked, just as long as I stayed busy and productive,” he said. “During my senior year, I did a work-study at the sheriff’s office and I found an interest in the criminal justice system.” Anderson plans to pursue an associate’s degree at Bay College toward becoming a conservation officer.
— Timmy Bendick is the son of Debi and Tim Bendick. He has played many sports, including football for four years, basketball and track for three years and baseball for one year. He was involved in many other things, including National Honor Society, student council, class treasurer, band, Business Professionals of America and youth advisory committee. He also enjoyed volunteering his time to help others in need. He plans to study pre-med at Northern Michigan University.

TIMOTHY BENDICK
— Vincent Curtis is the son of Justin and Heidi Curtis. He has been involved in football, basketball, track and student council, this year as council president. He was also a class officer for a few years. He plans to study medicinal plant chemistry at Northern Michigan University.
— Madeline Divine is the daughter of Michael and Kari Divine. In high school, she has been involved in volleyball, basketball, track, National Honor Society, Business Professionals of America, youth advisory committee, student council, marching band as a flag corps member, concert band and Job’s Daughters. This summer, she will work as a cook at Camp Batawagama. She plans to study psychology with a focus on law and criminal justice at the University of Michigan.
— Tyler Dumke is the son of Mike Dumke and Andrea Wagoner. During high school he has been a part of band as a euphonium player, basketball, track and golf. He volunteers his time whenever asked for help, such as his church, school and some individual people. He plans to major in forensic biochemistry at Northern Michigan University.
— Wyatt Imhoff has been involved with Boy Scouts and one year each in basketball and track. He spends much of his time enjoying the outdoors and the U.P. scenery. He has worked a few jobs and gone on a lot of adventures around the area. He plans to study welding technologies at Bay College.
— Rayven Jacobson is the daughter of Kay and John Jacobson. In high school, she has been involved in National Honor Society, Business Professionals of America, student council, YAC, student government, volleyball, basketball, golf, track and the marching band flag corps. Outside of school, she has been a part of 4-H and the Iron County Market Livestock Club. She has spent a lot of time volunteering at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, the Northwoods Animal Shelter and concession stands. She plans to study radiography with a minor in Spanish at Northern Michigan University.

VINCENT CURTIS
— Gracie Peterson is the daughter of Randy and Tara Peterson of Mansfield Township. She has been involved in many extracurricular activities, such as student council, class advisor, National Honor Society, Business Professionals of America, YAC, basketball, volleyball, track and field, cheerleading, golf, softball and band. Outside of school, she is involved in 4-H and Iron County Youth Market Livestock, where she has been raising and showing animals at the Iron County Fair for nine years. She also works part-time at Chung’s Bar and Grill. She has spent many hours volunteering in the community as well. She plans to study nursing at Bellin College.
— Kyler Rouse was born in Iron Mountain and is the son of Riki and Brandon Rouse. He mainly focused on academics in high school, but had years in which he participated in football, basketball and track. “In my life I have always been supported by my family and friends and they’re absolutely one of the top reasons I was able to succeed. They’ve been there during my ups and downs and I truly can’t thank them enough for all they’ve done for me,” he said. In summer, he is a maintenance worker at the Crystal View Golf Course. He plans to pursue a degree in athletic training at Bay College and then attend Northern Michigan University.
— Zackery Turner is the son of Michael Turner, Amy Turner, Theresa Fisk and Andrew Fisk. He didn’t play many sports in high school and instead spent time in the woods. He is an avid fisher and hunter. He plans to do a five-year electrical apprenticeship and then work at the Verso mill in Quinnesec.
