Niagara Royalty candidates announced

GINGER ANDERSON

NIAGARA, Wis. — The candidates for the Mr. Niagara and First Lady of Niagara contests, sponsored by the Niagara Women’s Civic Club, have been announced.

Cost is $1 per vote. Voting can be done at Forward Financial Credit Union or Nicolet Bank in Niagara. Votes may also be mailed to Niagara Women’s Civic Club, P.O. Box 103, Niagara, WI 54151.

Voting begins on Monday and ends Friday, June 24. Winners will be crowned at the Niagara Lion Club Community Picnic on Saturday, June 25.

— Ginger Anderson was born in Fort Frances, Ontario. She graduated from Kingsford High School. Her best move ever was moving to Niagara. She is married to Kevin and they have two children, Beau Anderson and Dr. Benjamin Potter.

She has been the English, theater and creative writing teacher in Niagara for 26 years. She does all game managing for basketball and volleyball. She works track meets, does tutoring, forensics, theater, National Honor Society, student council and school dances.

ANN BRASURE

Anderson’s proudest accomplishment is her students at school and her own children, who have excelled far beyond what she imagined. She is also proud of the Badger Care Program she started 20 years ago that provides free before- and afterschool child care. She is very proud of her forensic public speaking team, with 25% of the school’s students involved and all medaling at state.

She feels fortunate to live in a small town that has exceptional students and parents. Niagara is a safe and welcoming place.

— Ann Brasure comes from Kingsford, but she has lived in Niagara for 12 years and considers this is home. Ann is married to Tom; their children are Olivia, Michael, Emma and Reid. She is senior manager of PMO and IS applications at the Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson.

She is a member of the Lions Club and vice-president of the Booster Club at school. She is on the school board and the board of directors at Maryhill Manor, and is chair of the Parish Council and lecturer at St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Brasure loves the family feeling of community in Niagara. She has gotten to know so many wonderful people in this town.

TAMMY TRIPP

Her proudest accomplishment is her family.

— Niagara is Tammy Tripp’s hometown. She is married to Bill and they have three children, Austin, Alex and Abigail. She is homemaker and bar manager of Tripp’s Tavern. She is a member of the Lions Club, chief inspector for Niagara Township’s elections and is on the NASF Scholarship Committee.

She loves to spend time with her family, read, work in her flower garden and go to her kid’s sports events. What Tripp likes most about Niagara is people are so friendly and always willing to help others. Her proudest accomplishment is her kids — raising them to be the best they can be.

— Dr. Bob Pultz is married to Deb, with children Justin, Courtney, Tia, Allexis, Brett, Dyllan, and Zak. Niagara is Bob’s hometown. Bob is on the board of directors at Maryhill Manor. He is a previous member of the Lions Club and city council. He loves golf and skiing. He enjoys yard work and loves using his chain saw.

What Pultz loves most about Niagara is the small-town atmosphere. His proudest accomplishment is his kids.

BOB PULTZ

— Niagara is Bill Tripp’s hometown. He is married to Tammy and they have three children, Austin, Alex and Abigail. He is a sales rep for Parts Unlimited and owner of Tripp’s Tavern. He is a member of the Lions Club, Knights of Columbus and fire department. His favorite hobby is going to his kid’s sports events.

What he likes most about Niagara is the fact that when someone needs help, everyone steps up. His proudest accomplishment is his kids.

— Paul Westrich is married to Trica and they have two children, Joshua and Autumn, and five grandchildren. Niagara is his hometown. He is a superintendent with the U.S. Navy in Marinette.

He is a member of Iron Bandogs, LE/MC, a non-profit law enforcement motorcycle club. They help law enforcement, firemen, military, veterans and whoever needs help. They just donated to a couple who lost their house in a fire in Marinette.

Their club has volunteered to help the Lions Club set up and take down for their annual picnic. During that event their club will have a booth to raise money for three police dogs for Marinette County. They will have an event to raise money for a police dog for Niagara when that is approved.

BILL TRIPP

What Westrich loves most about Niagara is the way the community comes together. His proudest accomplishments are his kids and grandkids.

He is also proud of serving in the Navy for 22 years and making it through the rescue swimmer school. He was a diesel mechanic who would go in the water if a rescue was needed.
