IRON MOUNTAIN — We Energies crews continued to work to restore power Wednesday night after early morning storms knocked out service to more than a thousand customers in Dickinson and Iron counties, along with Wisconsin’s Florence County.

As of 10 p.m. Wednesday, the company reported 200 outages in Dickinson County. Service had been restored to all but a handful of customers in Iron and Florence counties. The remaining Dickinson County outages were mainly in Iron Mountain and Waucedah Township.

Other areas hit hard by outages included Felch and Sagola townships in Dickinson County and the townships of Crystal Falls, Hematite and Mastodon in Iron County.

The forecast calls for sunshine both today and Friday, with showers returning by early Sunday.
