Raphael R. Nault Jr.

He was born on Nov. 1, 1942, in Iron Mountain, to the late Raphael Sr. and Jane (Patzer) Nault.

No man loved God or his country more than Ray. He was an avid hunter and ice fisherman. He traveled to Canada, Alaska, Colorado and Wyoming to hunt elk, moose, mule deer, etc.

He worked for the village of Niagara as a city worker, then a police officer. He owned North Star Bar for 20 years until his retirement.

His grandchildren were a joy to him and he loved them all.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Victoria (Cretton) Nault; children Sally (Joe) Byers and David (Penny) Steele; sister and best friend, Lila Sajnog; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ray Nault; daughter-in-law Chrisena Nault; brother Michael Nault; and sisters Donna Becker, and Frances Jean Nault.

A graveside service will be announced in the spring.
