IRON RIVER — John R. Raade of Iron River passed away on Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian. The West Side Veterans will accord Military Rites after the service. Interment will be in Negaunee Cemetery in Negaunee. Funeral arrangements are by the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.

CRYSTAL FALLS — Robert W. Salonen, 81, of Crystal Falls, passed away Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025, at U.P. Health System-Marquette, surrounded by family and friends. A visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Christ United Methodist Church in Crystal Falls. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Vicky Prewitt to officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Friends of Camp Batawagama or the Christ United Methodist Church in Crystal Falls.
