Project 2025 a real danger

EDITOR: I want everyone to take a minute to Google Project 2025. If you don’t use a computer, ask someone else to print it for you. It’s that important. EDITOR: Well, the American people finally saw the truth on the CNN debate. I had friends say they were shocked at Biden’s condition. Oh really? These people were shocked because they were watching the wrong news networks. But what really shocked me was how fast CNN and MSNBC turned on Biden, that very night. These two networks have been covering for Biden’s condition for years. Joe Scarborough of MSNBC just said a couple weeks ago that Biden was sharp as a tack! Artificial turf at Flivver Field

Recently, the Breitung Township School District announced plans for artificial turf on Flivver Field. I would like to expand on the process described. At a special school board meeting members of the board gathered and expressed various opinions on the project and financing. It was a respectful sharing of viewpoints. In the end, some thought that the project was a good idea and others disagreed. We voted and abided by the majority. Now we are moving forward, working towards a positive outcome.

With Biden, best to surrender a lost cause

For the record, the man I want to eventually be our president is Republican and former Ohio Governor John Kasich. He’s direct, knows how to compromise, intelligent, tough if needed, and has something that is getting harder to come by: that being common sense. He finished third in the Republican primary in 2016. Let me begin this by acknowledging the awards this paper has recently won. Congratulations. It reflects well on your publication, and it furthers my previously stated remarks on why people need to buy and read their local newspaper. Television goes just so far due to time constraints and the other electronic media is so manipulated as to be worthless. Dr. Bob Lorinser was in town June 6 to talk about critical issues facing Dickinson County elders—the survival of Social Security and Medicare. For the 24% of county residents 65 and older, this is vital. Social Security and Medicare are facing challenges. Under current laws Social Security will exhaust its trust funds by 2033 and unless Congress fixes it, benefits will be cut by 23% Many Republicans want to increase retirement age to 70.
