Keep an eye on Kewaunee High School offensive lineman Tanor Bortolini.

The 6-foot-5, 270-pound senior recently made a verbal commitment to the University of Wisconsin. He’s the cousin of Connor Bortolini, who helped Forest Park beat Portland St. Patrick 54-12 in the 2017 MHSAA eight-player state championship.

Tanor Bortolini heard from the likes of Iowa and Miami along with Ivy League schools before going with Bucky.

“I knew I really liked Wisconsin coming into it,” Bortolini told the Green Bay Press-Gazette. “But I had to make sure it was for me. I was really excited. They were definitely one of my top schools, and I’m really happy to be a Badger. I’m excited for the future.”

Forest Park Coach Dave Graff reports the Bortolini family has been in Crystal Falls for many years. Angelo Bortolini, brother of Jerry, headed to Wisconsin from Crystal Falls.

“Angelo was big and must of been tough. too, if he was a Bortolini,” Graff said.

Connor Bortolini (5-8, 155), now at Finlandia, rushed for 196 yards and four touchdowns when the Trojans won the 2017 state title. Connor had a record-setting regular season game with 402 yards rushing and seven touchdowns in a win over North Central …
