Florence names MVPs; Jenna Springer, Schuls selected as top seniors

FLORENCE, Wis — Athletic awards night for Florence High School was held virtually on Friday evening. Athletic Director Kris Johnson, all Florence High School coaches and Principal Brandon Jerue were involved with the selection of the special awards.

Two special awards are given to the outstanding male and female senior athlete for 2019-2020. This year’s recipients are as follows:

David Wenzel Memorial Male Athlete of the Year: Kaden Schuls

Ginny Ehrenreich Memorial Female Athlete of the Year: Jenna Springer

Johnson noted that the team MVP awards are selected by the coaching staffs of each team.

Offensive MVP: Kaden Schuls

Defensive MVP: Toby Wheeler

Most Improved: Austin Hoey

Vaughn Neuens Memorial Lineman Award: Kobe Hodgson and Khristian Carollo

VOLLEYBALL:

Co-MVP: Jenna Springer

Co-MVP: Jordyn Springer

Most Improved: Lacey Enders

CROSS COUNTRY:

MVP: Seth Axley

MVP: Faith Neuens

GIRLS BASKETBALL:

MVP: Jenna Springer

Bobcat Mentality: Madison Neuens

BOYS BASKETBALL:

MVP: Kaden Schuls

Most Improved: Patrick Milan

Coaches Choice: Evan Johnson

WRESTLING:

MVP: Caitlyn Kelley
