Florence dumps Crandon, 60-21
CRANDON, Wis. — Patrick Milan scored 24 points and Florence breezed to a 60-21 win over Crandon in boys basketball Friday.
Evan Johnson added 11 points for the Bobcats, while Dominic DeMuri and William Kelley scored eight apiece.
Playing on the road, Florence was “a little slow out of the gate,” said coach Bryan Bomberg. “Credit to Crandon for that,” he said. “They were aggressive and tough in the passing lanes.”
Bomberg praised Kelley for setting the tone on both ends of the floor to start the second half. “Really pleased when a freshmen can do that,” he said. “Patrick Milan was relentless on both ends for us. Overall, happy with the win.”
Also scoring for Florence were Logan Schuls and Ty Niehaus, with three points each; Seth Axley, two points; and Dustin Williams, a free throw.
Milan was the leading rebounder with 15 while DeMuri grabbed 10.
Florence (3-3) will be back in action Monday, hosting Elcho.
