IRON MOUNTAIN — Powers North Central will play Marion in the MHSAA eight-player state football semifinals at 11 a.m. Central time Saturday, Jan. 9, at the Superior Dome in Marquette.

The Jets (9-0) and Eagles (8-1) will square off prior to Iron Mountain’s 11-player Division 8 regional final, slated for 4 p.m.

All previous safety protocols remain in place, and no spectators will be allowed.

The high school football season was suspended in mid-November, due to the pandemic. The resumption of the playoff season comes as athletes and coaches participate in a coronavirus antigen-testing program.
